Preconditioning of nonsymmetric Stokes Problems (oral exam)

Abstract The coefficient matrix of the linearized Navier-Stokes equations (or one similar to it) arises in many numerical situations. The pseudospectral properties of the coefficient matrix for Stokes problems will be examined in terms of the pseudospectral properties of the convection matrix and the divergence matrix.
